Why not opt for french doors with top opening side panels instead of french doors with fixed side panels?

The top openers can be left open on a “night vent” facility, where the opening sash is slightly ajar while maintaining security.

The minimum transom drop is 400mm, down to a maximum of 1200mm, depending on what look you are trying to achieve.
